Day 1 patch and shout outs


Hey everyone, here's a little update.


Framerate

I saw a few comments about framerate issues and wanted to provide the best experience I could.

So, I've been altering how the game loads chunks and handles lighting and should hopefully run a lot smoother. Special thanks to my friend Connor who helped me out today (go check out his stuff here: https://studiovoid.itch.io/)

If framerate issues continue to persist I'll try and review my optimisation further, but fingers crossed it should be much more bearable.


Menu

After making some assets for the itch page, I went back and added proper backgrounds to the menus to make them seem more professional.


Future

A lot of people are excited for a full build of this game, while I do have some ideas on how to take this prototype forward I also need to finish and upload my other university prototypes to itch. I also have an upcoming game jam with Connor, so updates for this game might be slow for a few months - but I do hope to come back and finished this little indie horror game when my other commitments are behind me.
