Faster walk, and other minor fixes
Yo, new playtester just dropped
Big thanks to playtester James (master of the Out-Of-Bounds) for breaking my game, I've made some adjustments to reduce these errors and hopefully players won't get stuck as much.
New HUD Element
Speaking of, I added a UI to the HUD that will display "Left Click to Interact" which will pop up when near the errrr, ??? (the glowing guy - his name's kinda a spoiler 😅) and the memento (the photo of your child's birth) hopefully making it clearer when you are near the game's objective.
Walking adjustments
I've also realised that the walking is maybe a tad too slow and so have doubled the movement speed. Although I want to give the impression of a fragile elderly man who was on his death bed prior to waking up at the start of the game, I want to have this effect while also making the game accessible - although giving Mark the ability to sprint is a step too far for me (trust me, it just feels weird) I thought increasing the movement would be a good compromise.
Secrets and a break from developing
Thank you so much again for all the videos. It's very heart warming to see. Although, I'm getting worried I hid all the game's secrets too well. They aren't much, but are little things that might make the story clearer (or maybe, even more confusing, depending on whether or not you can put the pieces together).
Anyway, I'm drawing up some plans for the next few levels, but also need to work on and upload some other projects. So unfortunately I might not add much more to this for a few weeks.
Hopefully see you back here in a few weeks, ciao!!!
